Joint It aims to make use of 3D printing to design a collection of products that can be shared easily and quickly through open source platforms. The products can be customized to fit each user’s need, providing them the opportunity to create and assemble functional furniture for a low cost and with a minimal environmental footprint.

 

Joint It is a combination between exciting new technology and the desire to change the way of consuming, it helps you personalize and build your environment using creativity and technology while connecting to a community of people with like interests.

The 3 pieces of the collection are called Odete, Nara and Ida. Each 3D printed piece of the collection can be modified to create different functional furniture. Differently from the other joints of the collection, Odete consists of 3 parts, these parts come together with a simple screwing mechanism that provides stability and sturdiness to create a coffee table.

 

Nara is a solution to give a second life to any kind of sticks or pipes, creating with them a clothes hanger.  The beauty of Nara relies in the simplicity of its design, creating a clean, sleak final outcome.

 

Ida is a joint made to create hanging shelves and layer up as many shelves as you want. This a storage solution for small areas, helping people optimizing the use of vertical spaces.
